Consignment Agreement
Effective September 30, 2026
This agreement is between you (the consignor) and Manybox LLC, operator of SneakersLife ("we," "us," "our"). It covers what happens from the moment you send us your sneakers to the moment you get paid. Written in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, email sneakerslife@gmail.com before you ship, and we'll answer straight.
The short version: You keep ownership of your shoes until they sell. We authenticate, photograph, list, store, and ship them. When a pair sells and the sale is final, you get 85% of the sale price — we keep a flat 15% commission. No listing fees. No hidden fees. We never pay for shipping, in any direction. You can track everything in your consignor portal.
1. How it works
- Apply. Submit the intake form on our Consign With Us page with your name, email, and details about the shoes (brand, model, size, condition, photos). Submitting the form means you accept this agreement.
- Get approved. We review your submission and, if accepted, email you our receiving address and shipping instructions. We do not publish our receiving address — it is shared only with approved consignors. There are no public drop-offs.
- Ship your shoes. You ship to us at your expense, well-packed, with the original box when you have it. Your shoes are your responsibility until we sign for the delivery. We do not provide prepaid inbound labels.
- We authenticate. Every pair is authenticated in hand by a sneaker specialist with 20+ years of experience. Anything that fails is rejected and penalized (see Section 6).
- We photograph, list, and store. We shoot clean product photos, write the listing, and store your shoes securely. List prices are set by mutual agreement before your item goes live — we bring the market data, you approve the number.
- It sells — you get paid. When a pair sells and the sale is final, we pay you 85% of the sale price (Section 3).
2. What we accept
- Sneakers only at launch. If we expand to other categories, we'll update this agreement first.
- Shoes must be authentic, legally yours to sell, and accurately described in your intake form.
- New or pre-owned both welcome — condition must match what you told us.
- We may decline any item at our sole discretion (for example: no market demand, or we already hold the same pair).
3. Commission and payouts
- Our commission is a flat 15% of the item's sale price (excluding shipping charges and sales tax collected from the buyer). You keep 85%. There are no listing fees and no hidden fees.
- Payouts are issued after the sale is final — meaning the buyer's payment has cleared and the return window on the order has closed — and within 7 business days after that.
- Payouts are sent to the payment details you provide (e.g., bank transfer or another method we agree on). Keep your payout details current; we are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information you gave us.
- Any amounts you owe us under this agreement (return shipping, penalties, fees) may be deducted from your payouts. If your balance doesn't cover it, you agree to pay the remainder within 14 days of our invoice.
- Your consignor portal shows every item, its status, the sale price, the commission, and your payout — item by item. No black box.
4. Shipping — we never pay for it
The rule is simple: SneakersLife does not pay for shipping in any direction.
- Inbound (you → us): you pay. Pack well; consider insuring the shipment.
- Outbound (us → buyer): the buyer pays shipping at checkout.
- Returns to you (unsold items, rejected items, ended agreements): you pay the actual carrier label cost — no markup, no handling fee. We show you the label cost before we ship.
5. Listing period and pricing
- Items are listed for 90 days. Before the period ends, we'll contact you to renew for another 90 days, adjust the price, or have the item returned (return shipping at your expense, Section 4).
- We never discount your shoes without your written approval. No automatic markdowns, no sale events on consigned inventory — the list price moves only when you say so.
- If an item arrives in materially worse condition than you described, we'll contact you before listing — we may ask you to approve a lower list price or have the item returned at your expense.
6. Authentication, counterfeits, and penalties
We take fakes seriously. Every pair is authenticated in hand before listing, and the penalties below apply per pair.
- Failed authentication: the pair is rejected and will not be listed, period. We photo-document the failure markers.
- $25 authentication fee per rejected pair, plus return shipping at your expense (Section 4). The fee covers our authenticator's time and handling. It is deducted from any balance owed to you, or invoiced if you have none.
- Second offense: permanent ban. Send us fakes twice and your consignor account is closed permanently — no appeal, and any unsold items are returned at your expense.
- Intentional fraud: if we have reason to believe you knowingly sent counterfeit or stolen goods, we may report you to law enforcement, and you are liable for all losses and costs we suffer as a result.
- We reserve the right to hold (not return) items we are legally required to preserve as evidence.
First-time mistakes happen — you may have been scammed yourself when you bought them. Tell us where you got the pair; it helps us both. But the fee still applies: authentication costs us real time whether the fake was intentional or not.
7. Prohibited goods
You agree not to send us:
- Counterfeit, replica, "unauthorized authentic," or factory-variant items of any kind;
- Items you do not own or do not have the legal right to sell (including stolen goods);
- Items that infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
Sending prohibited goods triggers Section 6 penalties and is grounds for immediate termination.
8. Ownership — your shoes stay yours
You retain full ownership of your items until a sale is complete. We hold them as your agent for the purpose of selling — we cannot sell them for ourselves, lend them out, or use them as collateral. If we close or end the program, unsold items are returned to you (Section 11).
9. Care, risk of loss, and insurance
- Inbound: your shoes are at your risk until we sign for the delivery. If the box arrives empty or destroyed, the carrier claim is yours to file.
- In our custody: we exercise reasonable care in storing and handling your items, and we track every movement in our internal chain-of-custody system. We maintain shipping insurance on outbound orders.
- If an item is lost or damaged while in our custody due to our fault, our liability is limited to the agreed list price of the item, minus our 15% commission — in other words, what you would have been paid had it sold.
- We are not liable for loss or damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control (fire, flood, theft by third parties despite reasonable security, carrier loss after proper handoff).
10. Your data and privacy
Your name, email, shipping address, payout details, and consignment records are handled under our Privacy Policy. The short version: we never sell your data, we share it only where needed to run the consignment (carriers, payment processors), and your inventory is visible only in your private portal — other consignors can't see it, and we never publish warehouse addresses or storage locations.
11. Ending the agreement
- Either side can end this agreement at any time with written notice (email counts).
- If you end it, or if we do, unsold items are returned to you at your expense within 14 days. Provide a current return address promptly — items unclaimed after 60 days may be treated as abandoned and donated or disposed of.
- Amounts already earned from completed sales are still paid out on the normal schedule.
- We may end the agreement immediately if you send prohibited goods or materially misrepresent your items.
12. Taxes
You are responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on your consignment payouts. We are not your tax advisor. If tax law requires us to collect tax information from you or issue tax forms, we will ask — please provide accurate information promptly, as we cannot release payouts held up by missing tax documentation.
13. Disputes
- Talk to us first: sneakerslife@gmail.com. Consignment is a relationship business — we'd rather fix it than fight about it.
- This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
- Unresolved disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
14. Changes
We may update this agreement as the program grows. The version in effect when you ship us an item governs that item — we will never apply new penalties retroactively. Material changes will be emailed to active consignors before they take effect.
15. The fine print that still matters
- You must be at least 18 years old to consign with us.
- This agreement is the whole deal between us on consignment; side promises don't count unless written and signed.
- If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- You may not transfer your consignor account to someone else without our written approval.
