How to Sell Your Sneakers With Us: Consignment, Explained

Most sneaker owners have at least one pair sitting in a closet that never gets worn — bought in the wrong size, doubled up on a restock, or just fell out of the rotation. Selling it yourself means photography, listings, lowball messages, shipping runs and the occasional chargeback scare. Consignment is the other route: you send us the pair, we sell it, and you get paid. This post walks through exactly how it works here, in plain terms.

How it works, step by step

1. Send an inquiry. Consignment at SneakersLife is by inquiry, not a free-for-all. Fill out the form on our Sell With Us page with your pair’s details and photos — we review every submission.

2. Ship the pair to us. If your pair is approved, we email you the shipping instructions and our receiving address. You cover the shipping to us; we cover shipping out to the buyer.

3. We authenticate it in hand. Every pair is inspected in hand by a sneaker veteran with 20+ years in the game before it can list. Box, materials, stitching — the full check.

4. We photograph, list and sell. Your pair gets the same photography and listing treatment as everything in our shop, in front of buyers worldwide.

5. You get paid. Once your pair sells and the sale clears, your payout goes out. No haggling with strangers, no meeting anyone, no lowball DM offers.

The money, in plain numbers

The split is simple: you keep 85% of the final sale price; we take a 15% flat commission. There are no listing fees and no hidden charges. Storage is $2 per pair per month, charged from the day your pair arrives and deducted from your payout — that is the whole fee picture, and the full agreement is on our Consignment Terms page if you want every word of it.

Authentication is the gate

Nothing lists until it passes. A pair that does not pass authentication does not go up for sale — it is that simple. That gate is what lets buyers trust the shop, and it is also what protects your pair: it sells inside a store where every single listing has been checked in hand, not next to a hundred unverified listings.

You can follow your pair the whole way

Every consigned pair is tracked in a private consignor portal through five stages: received → authenticated → listed → sold → paid. You can see where your pair is at any time, along with your payout history — no chasing us for updates.

What to send us

We accept new and used-like-new sneakers. Be straight about condition in your inquiry — the in-hand check finds everything anyway, and an honest description is what gets a pair priced right and sold. Intake is through the form only; there are no public drop-offs.

Ready when you are: start with the two-minute inquiry on the Sell With Us page, and we will take it from there.
